Rosh Kollel

Originally from Monsey New York, Rabbi Matis Zelman attended Yeshivas Shaar Hatorah in Queens for both high school and Beis Medresh where he developed a close connection with his Rosh Yeshiva Reb Shalom Spitz.  It was there that Rav Zelman began his Chinuch career, as he took the initiative to learn with younger Bochurim, taking them under his wing. In Yerushalayim, Rav Zelman learned in the Mir Yeshiva under Rav Asher Arieli Shlita. He then went on to learn in Shas Yidden Kollel and Aish Hatorah’s semicha program where he developed a strong personal connection with HaRav Yitzchok Berkovits Shlitah. Rav Zelman taught in Yeshivas Toras Chaim as a Meishiv for 4 years inspiring countless bochurim.
In addition to guiding and encouraging the Veshachanti kollel avreichim to reach new heights in their learning, he also serves as the Rosh Kollel of the Kav Halacha Kollel. Rav Zelman enjoys sharing the love of Torah and joy of avodas Hashem with yidden from all walks of life. Rav Zelman resides in Ramat Eshkol with his wife and children.
