Welcome To The Veshachanti Kollel

As the Yeshiva grew, Rabbi Luger often would hear from recently married men how they wish they would have attended Veshachanti as a Bochur- if only it were to have been in existence.

Coupled with the fact that many Talmidim began to get married, the clear need arose to create a framework so that they too could remain part of the thriving Veshachanti community.

Shua Dembitzer, (one of the first Talmidim to join Veshachanti) a married alumni living in Yerushalayim, approached Rabbi Luger and broached the idea of adding a Kollel. Impressed by his initiative and passion, the Veshachanti Kollel was born.

The Kollel is led by Rav Matis Zelman and offers a classic first Seder with high- level learning. It has regular chaburos and special shiurim and focuses on developing one’s Derech Halimud. Kollel Avreichim join all the seminars, special shiurim and events Yeshiva has to offer and are an integral part of the Veshachanti community.

R’ Shua is both a proud member of the Kollel and also serves as its’ Director of Development, combining his passion for learning with his entrepreneurial spirit.

The Kollel is comprised of both Veshachanti alumni and as well those who did not learn in the Yeshiva who are in the first five years of marriage.

Kollel members may learn full-time or spend half their day in Kollel while spending the other half working or pursuing a degree.
